Talks with Mr. Per Ronnas

EPCRC hosted a meeting with Mr.Per Ronnas, advisor to International
Labor Organization at his request. He paid a visit to Mongolia for the
purpose of attending “Labour – Foundation of Development Conference” to
further investigate workplace relations in Mongolia. As such, labour
market is not only about employment, but it also indirectly affects
other factors such as quality of labour (income, development
opportunities), monetary and financial system, foreign exchange rate
policy and competitiveness of the nation etc. On Thursday, he was the
speaker at the national symposium which took place at the State Palace.
His speech emphasized that Mongolia should not rely on mining sector
based development, but instead we should focus on our competitiveness.
